Hello Celebrate Recovery friends & forever family.
We continue to pray that you and your family are safe and well in the midst of this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
As you’ve probably heard by now, with the extension of the “Stay at Home” guidance from Minnesota Governor Waltz, Woodbury Lutheran Church has decided to close its doors. Immediately & temporarily, this means there will NO longer be any in person face-to-face meetings held at WLC.
As such, WLC Celebrate Recovery Men’s groups will be transitioning to ZOOM platform to hold small group meetings.
We may be powerless to know how this COVID-19 situation will play out, but we do KNOW GOD is in control, and we put our faith in our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! Due to the virus, the restrictions are changing daily. This is basically making face-to-face CR meetings difficult for some, especially those with ongoing health concerns. Praise God that the Celebrate Recovery National Team has created a temporary way for us to connect while face-to-face groups are limited.
Knowing God gives us the need to stay connected and the tools to do so, we are proposing starting two Men’s CR online Zoom meeting. These meetings are through invite only, & will require a new set of 8 CR approved guidelines. These guidelines are adjusted by Celebrate Recovery Crisis Response Team at Saddleback Church. We intend on meeting Thursday evenings from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. We will utilize the Zoom program which can be used on computer, laptop, tablet, or smart phone (iPhone & Samsung Galaxy).

Vicky or Larry or Andrew will provide all the meeting information after you contact them.
There is no large group worship and lesson planned at this time, however, we do encourage you to continue to learn and grow in your 12 steps.
NOTE: If the internet is a trigger for you or if you have decided to not use the internet to protect your recovery, you will need to take extra precautions such as going over to a friend’s house who is in a group and be online in a group together.
There are a number of resources online such as CR webpage: or Celebrate Recovery app, Daily Hope podcast with Pastor Rick Warren: or through LightSource app. If you are looking for online Church service, Woodbury Lutheran Church broadcasts its service at . If you utilize YouVersion bible app on your phone, there is an excellent bible study plan called Better Together by Rick Warren.
Remember to stay in contact with your sponsor and sponsees. Also check in with your accountability partners daily. Share with each other over the phone and pray for one another. We challenge you to reach out and utilize your phone list to try to stay connected. Look for group members you can reach out to. One idea is to set up a time each day to call through a list of people. Don’t forget the newcomers that you’ve exchanged phone numbers with. This will be a great way to stay connected.
We continue to pray for all people dealing with the COVID-19 virus. We pray for quick and complete healing. We pray for GOD intervention and resolution. We pray for you. We look forward to Woodbury Lutheran Church Celebrate Recovery to emerge stronger and ready to grow. We pray for the time when we can resume full CR meetings, and face-to-face small groups.
